SIM Housing

Daotec offers 2 versions of SIM housing: Voice and SMS.

SMS:

SIM housing is one of the most cost effective ways of conducting 2 way messaging campaigns. Our gateways are capable of sending out text messages "apparently from" your SIM card number. All replies will therefore reach your SIM card and will be forwarded on to you by one of several mechanisms.

The service is straightforward. You simply supply Daotec with your GSM SIM card and we host it for you. Hosting of a SIM card involves installing it in a SIM slot in one of our GSM modem banks. Our DaoSMS servers check your SIM card for content every 2 seconds. Because it is a SIM based technology, the maximum throughput of messages is one per 2 seconds, up to a limit of approx. 30,000 per month depending on your provider. The incoming messages are processed and sent to you in your preferred way.

In order to view the incoming messages, you can log in to your Daotec account and you can have the messages forwarded to you via E-mail or have them over a HTTP or HTTPS connection forwarded to your own application server for further processing.
 

Voice:

The most cost effective ways of transferring your voice calls from landline connections directly into the networks of mobile operators. Our gateways are capable of providing you a direct landline telephone number to which your systems can be connected. Instead of dialling directly from you PBX to the mobile operator(s) you could use our SIM housing and save a lot of telephone costs. Or use our SIM housing to integrate your PBX into a 0 tariff mobile contract for your company. This can save thousands every month.

The service is straightforward. You simply supply Daotec with your GSM SIM card and we host it for you. Hosting of a SIM card involves installing it in a SIM slot in one of our GSM modem banks. We check the caller id across a white list supplied from you to to avoid that someone else can use your SIM card. .
